Features
The villa is built using a light-weight load-bearing precast panel technology
Glass Fibre Reinforced Gypsum (GFRG) . It offers cost effective and fast building solutions for many residential, commercial and industrial applications.
The panels can be used with or without non-structural core-filling such as insulation, sand, polyurethane or lightweight concrete.
This system has many uses such as cladding- for industrial buildings or sports facilities; panels can become the flush plaster ceiling instead of suspended slab formwork.
Advantages
Easiness of manufacturing & supplying the material
Construction duration required to build up this structure was about six months which is less than the duration required to build up concrete structures.
It eliminates the need for bricks, blocks, timber, wall frames and plasterboard linings
Reduce usage of concrete mix and steel bars
Reduces the need for manpower
Rapid wall will be filled either with concrete or insulation resulting in reducing sound level.
It will contribute reducing the use of the cooling operation as it maintains the temperature longer periods than regular buildings.
Precast panels are fully recyclable
Carbon dioxide emissions are substantially less than comparable building materials. When panels are air dried, natural water vapour is the only emission into the atmosphere, and there are no other emissions.
Rapid wall has outstanding fire-resistant properties making it an ideal building material. Rapid wall is rated at one, two and four hours when empty, insulated and concrete filled respectively.
At only 124 mm wide, when compared to hollow block framed construction Rapid wall provides up to 10% more usable internal floor space of a building of comparable external dimensions
