The Ministry of Transport has announced the opening of the 39-km-long Ibri-Yanqel dual carriageway road project for traffic.
It starts from Qarn Al-Kabsh area in wilayat Ibri and ends at the Al-Boweedrah area near Suhar-Yanqel interchange. The opening of this dual carriageway comes after the completion of the remaining part in phase 1, a 10km stretch that starts from Al-Areedh area and ends in Khadel area in wilayat Ibri.
The Ibri-Yanqel dual carriageway road is a vital project in Al-Dhahera Governorate. It will ease traffic flow and commutes between the wilayats of Al-Dahera governorate and reduce accidents. “It will also revitalise tourism and commercial activities in Al-Dahira and the neighboring Governorates,” a statement said.
